“Sharing Open Source Software Middleware to improve industry competitiveness in the embedded systems domain” The SHARE project fosters the sharing of software code in the Embedded System Domain in a way that assures easy collaboration of the stakeholders always with the guarantee of security, dependability, quality of service, maintainability and affordability of the proposed solutions. Share has 8 partners, including large industries, Universities and SMEs. SHARE Consortium is pleased to invite you at the 3rd SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPs ONLINE EVENT! This special issue is dedicated to the “Near real time and mission critical systems” Special Interest Groups’ online event. Experts will virtually meet the SHARE community to discuss about concrete experiences, success stories and constraints in the use of Open Source as well as latest research results. It will be a good opportunity to exchange ideas, knowledge and personal perspectives.
SHARE SIGs Online Events Share Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are virtual communities gathered around common topics of interest, allowing different stakeholders to contact or meet each other to find synergies or to collaborate directly in the achievement of common goals. They aim to give members with similar professional skills and common research interest the opportunity to exchange ideas and keep themselves informed about developments in their fields. In a virtual and interactive setting, attendees will be provided with the opportunity to access industry experts, researchers and technology providers. On 5th March 2010 At 11:00 a.m (GMT+1) Speaker: Paolo Servillo from CRIAI Paolo Servillo is an Electronic Engineering from the University of Naples (Italy). After several years of professional experience working in a private company he began the collaboration with CRIAI where he is in charge of DIESIS European Project (Design of an Interoperable European federated Simulation network for critical Infrastructures). Paolo is an expert in technologies and languages of Semantic Web and in methods and criteria for distributed simulation. Abstract Paolo Servillo will present the main activities of the DIESIS (Design of an Interoperable European federated Simulation network for critical InfraStructures) European project. DIESIS aims at establishing the basis for a European modeling and simulation e-Infrastructure based upon open standards to foster and support research on all aspects of critical infrastructures with a specific focus on their protection. How to participate As the conference is virtual all attendees can experience it from the comfort of their own desk.
